This is a true antique Victorian/Edwardian item. It came from a museum, and the condition varies from item to item. Many of these items have a small tag hand stitched in by the museum which can be easily removed. I have many of these items and they will all be priced to sell.View My Other Items For Sale
Beautiful dress, excellent condition. I have inspected the material and all I found was some very minor tiny threadbare areas and very minor spots, especially in the arm pit. There is also evidence of a lace material that was near the collar at one time . It is a nice sturdy wearable dress. The dress is for a very petite woman. It was too big for my petite mannequin so I had to display it with the buttons opened. I\'m not sure of the material. It is not silk. Has a bit of a dry storage smell. No mildew.
The top has all 10 of the original buttons. Has a bone along the buttons and another along the button holes. Has a liner in the sleeves and minor sweat stains.. Measurements are 30\" chest with a little extra room, Waist 23\", Sleeves 14\" Shoulders 15\" and around 24.5\" long.
The skirt, again has a few threadbare and tiny stain spots. Almost invisible, you have to look for them. Strangely, there are no fasteners on the skirt. I had to pin it to get it on the mannequin. The skirt is waist is 25\". Length in front is 42\", in back it is 56\". The skirt has a liner in excellent condition. There is also a strip of lace along the rear hem. It weighs almost 3 lbs..
