This globe is old, thick walledand heavy. It stands a whisper over 5 inches tall and has a 4 1/4\" belly (across). The top measures 2 1/2 inches and the bottom spans just over 3 1/4\". Free blown flint glass. Both edges are fire polished. Has slight amount of light use scratches around belly. Old English Scripted JOHN LANGE encircled with a tight highly detailed wreathoriginating from a floral burst at bottom center. Great example of copper wheel engraving onearly hand blown glass. Most likely circa 1870...
