He founded his own decorating shop in Pest in 1864 and then branched out in 1867 to manufacture his own award winning ceramics which were very similar to those produced by Vilmos Zsolnay.
He was honoured by the Austro-Hungarian court and allowed to use the title, von Fischer.
Around 1885, with his son Emil Fischer running the business, the factory's success declined and it eventually became the property of the Zsolnay factory in Pécs around 1895.
The stien stands 140 mm and is 100 mm at the base and 70 mm across the rim.There is no chips or Restoration with only the slightest hair lines both about 8 mm and can only be seen from the inside(this is reflected in the low starting price for this type of such a rare object)
