I am pleased to offerthis antique Fentum Rosewood Flute. I believe this is a Francis Fentum flute from 1837-1845 by the 36 Queens Row address. You experts will know for certain. Measures approximately 26 1/4\" long. The flute has some correctable issues, so is being sold for restoration. I am not a player, but here is what I do know. The flute has 3 cracks. One is a small tight hairline, while the other 2 are longer and wider. There is a small crack where one of the keys are pinned. One key does not spring back when depressed. I am certain that it will need pad and joint cork/thread work. The cap, likely silver, is missing on the end. It may need some other work, but that is all I notice. The case is nice but has a crack on the back edge of the lid, and is missing some sheen on about 30% of the lid. A nice early project flute, worth your effort.
