This is a re-list due to an international buyer with customs inport restrictions.

Offered is an antique fraternal Knights of Pythia’s sword and scabbard. It is marked; \"FCB,\" which stands for the Pythian motto (\"Friendship, Charity, and Benevolence\"). And also; “U.R”; Uniform Rank. This Sword was manufactured by Horstmann Philadelphia. That name dates this sword to 1895-1935. The Knights of Pythias are dedicated to Universal Peace. Founded on Feb. 19, 1864, in Washington, DC. This excellent example surely dates to the late 1800\'s or early 1900\'s. The blade has nice detailed etchings on both sides of the blade. There is the original owners name, holy men, knights’ weapons, and many other symbols. The scabbard has 3 fancy applied silver plated decorations over a polished nickel base. The top decoration features the Biblical Samson destroying the Temple. The sword is approx. 37\" tall in the scabbard. CONDITION. This antique sword is in original condition. It does show mild wear & use. It has NOT been buffed or polished. Only mildly cleaned for the photos. The handle is tight. The blade is chip, nick, and rust free. The surfaces are all smooth. NO rust flaking or ruff ness. I will call attention to two locations. The gold wash tinting on the blade etching are faded in some areas. I’d estimate it affects about 30% of the etchings. Secondly, the scabbard base has staining to the nickel coating. It is totally smooth but has spots speckled over most areas. It is not flaking or raised. I assume some proper polishing, buffing, or cleaning should approve the appearance. Consider the overall condition & offer accordingly. I will assist you in any way I can. I must sell this as pictured, as described, and \'AS IS\'. Thank you & good luck..
