Thrilled to have received a nice batch of these phenomenal antique French linen towels from Pomport, France in a hard to find combination deep indigo and sunflower type yellow ticking stripe on a natural tone linen (more of a flaxy color than my photo captured, not ivory or cream, deeper linen shade like a raw linen color, best in photo 5). Fantastic classic French palette you just don\'t see often & quite desirable. These were a household staple in their day made for homes & a young girls dowry. Today they are so versatile used for anything from pillows, tables, window pieces (can easily be clipped to a rod with window clips or joined to make larger panels or pelmets), place mats, guest towels & napkins, patched for patchwork type projects & clothing/bags etc..I think using a non skid fabric underneath would make these great bath mats as well. Even perfect for rolling a fresh baked baguette or bottle of water or wine as gifts. They are so organic, timeless and so durable and of fine quality French linen. Condition is very very nice. They appear very well stored and maintained. Nicely washed and pressed and probably tucked away, I doubt used.I am selling these by ~ one individual towel ~ so each quantity selected is for one larger towel. Each towel is aprox. 22 inches wide by 33 inches long (give or take an inch to the length as they were all hand made so may vary just a tiny bit) so a very nice larger size.
