Beautiful example of earlier French damask ticking in a floral carnation pattern. Lovely palette of a soft sky blue & old white. This is a cotton, could have a bit of linen in it as well but primarily a soft bodied cotton. Excellent piece for pillows, decorative upholstery & an abundance of projects. Looks wonderful in French cottage or shabby settings. Mixes beautifully with French laces and embroidered old linens.
A lovely & unique damask of it\'s day. Circa is about the early 1900\'s, I doubt later than the 30\'s.Very nice condition. Probably used as these were utilitarian back in their day & most have been salvaged. Color appears very nice, just a bit of softening as expected with age and prior washings seen at the outer inch or two at the edge but overall very very nice. May have a tiny fiber pull/break as again, these are very old and utilitarian textiles. Overall, very nice & ready to work with.Measures 25 inches wide by 18 inches long ~ At the time of this listing, I can keep up to 4 in one length (so for example, a quantity of 2 would be 25 by 1 yard long etc..) The quantity button allows you to select in increments of 25\" wide by a half yard long & I can keep as much as 2 yards uncut.
