Up for sale isastunning antique 19th century French mantle clock. It is mounted with a striking silver plated sculpture of a stallion. The clock is marked W.B. Promoli Rue de Boulogne No. 1 in the enamel dial and on the brass works. The works were made by and marked Douillon of Paris. The clock body is slate and quite heavy weighing 33 pounds. The piece measures 15 1/4\" tall x 12 1/4\" wide x 4 7/8\" deep. The clock is running and chiming. It chimes on the hour and the half hour. I used a universal key to test the clock. It does not have a key. I believe the piece is missing feet as the pendulum is slightly to long. The silver plated horse shows a nice patina from age. The enamel dial has one nick next to the key hole on the right. The slate has some chips to the edges and some spots. It is a stunning piece.It is fresh out of a fine old antique estate collection.
