Antique JOUETS TOY BICYCLE Mechanical Celluloid MEGA RARE France 1920s-1930s

This is an amazing and super rare mechanic toy from the famous French toyfirm Jouets. I\'m not very wise in this genre of toys, but I know enough to understand that this is a very unique toy with historic value.

The bike is conected to a pair of handle bars that you can use to operate and drive the bicycle. It\'s battery operated and runs on 2 \'D\' size batteries.Sadly however, it doesn\'t work. I have been told that it could probably be restored to working order with a soldering gun.But I certainly can\'t say that for sure.The other flaw is that the right bar connecting the underside of seat and running down to the bolt on the tire is broken. It does however stand in place andholds upfine andis actually hard to notice. The Bike is made of hard plastic. The rider is made of Celluloid. The tires are rubber. The Handlebar Controller is made of tin and has plastic handle grips.

Bike and rider stand 9 & 1/2 inches tall and 10 & 1/2 inches Long. Handlebar Controller is almost 16 inches wide (Hand to Hand).

I hope whoever gets this is able to get it working. Even in this condition, I believe this to be a Museum grade Piece.
