Here is one of three antique violins and one viola we acquired out of an estate this week, which we will be listing today. This violin has a label that reads: KURT GUTTER MARKNEUKIRCHEN 1926 MADE IN GERMANY COPIE ANTONIUS STRADIVARIUS. The violin is also branded in the wood: K.A.GUTTER. Please understand we are selling this antique violin as found from an estate. It appears to be in pretty decent condition with the exception of I can see it had a well done saddle crack repair done at some point which measures approximately 3 3/4 inches long. I also see someone inscribed an A on the button that does not appear very deep. There is some expected wear and ageing to the wonderful soft varnish finish. All in all this antique violin was well cared for and ready to play. It measures approximately 23 inches long with a 14 inch back. It came in a very nice Bobelock hard shell case with no bow.
