This is an Antique Miniature Oval Braided Rug Mat Brown Gold Colors Silk Ribbons. These little braided mats were usually made of silk ribbons, and collectors appreciate them today for their small size. They can also be used for dollhouses. This one measures 12.5 inch by 11.5 inch. The condition is excellent with no breaks to the braid stitching. The braids themselves measure about 1/4 inch wide. There is a variety of brown shades and deep gold.
