Original Antique Plains Indian, Native American Beaded Moccasins, Kiowa Leather Moccasins with Beadwork. This pair of antique moccasins is in good condition but the leather is stiff & not pliable. Some of the beads are dirty from wear & the soles have cracks. No bead loss. They measure 10 1/2\" long & 3 1/2\" wide. They are beaded in white, red, navy blue & turquoise beads. They are hand made of leather with fringe down one side of the front & fringe at the heel. The Kiowa attached fringe to the heel in order to erase their footprints. The Kiowa, a nomadic tribe of the Great Plains region of North American occupied the Rockies & Southern Plains, including Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas, Montana, South Dakota, New Mexico, and Kansas. This authentic antique pair of Kiowa beaded moccasins is perfect for any Native American beadwork collector. They display well.
