Great find of a tiny hard rubber fly/trout midge reel. Half handle crank circa 1900\'s or earlier.Truly diminutive size the side plates only measure 1 3/4\". Unmarked in any way, the reel foot is attributed to Vom Hofe.The other 3 1/2 Vom Hofe reel in the last photo is from the same estate as this one and is for scale only, it is not included in the sale. The reel foot and outer retaining rings appear to be nickel silver. The spool and hardware have a bit of brassing to them. The color of the rubber is a very very dark chocolate brown, in my photos they appear jet black- in other light sources they are lighter.
