This is an early production Victor the First (or Victor I) 8\" turntable machine. It is a nice looking machine and displays and plays well. I rebuilt this phonograph from a nice Vic-I that was missing a few parts, I bought those on-line to finish it. It is all original Victor I parts, except where noted below:1. It runs very well, I recently rebuilt the motor and it has a good spring and runs smoothly, but the governor is a little noisy.
2. The tone arm is original and in very nice shape.
3. It has an Exhibition triangle hole reproducer, an Exhibition round role would be more correct. This reproducer has a very nice sound and the nickel is good.
4. The horn is a reproduction and has a reproduction decal. It looks very nice on this machine.
5. The horn elbow is a reproduction, as is the crank.
6. The turn table has replacement felt but maintains very nice nickel plating.
7. Cabinet is solid and clean but it was refinished with a proper Victor style shellac finish, rubbed then waxed.
8. Case bottom panel is original but it is missing the original bottom label.Please check the photos as they offer the best depiction of the phonograph.
