I am listing more of my 92 year old Mother\'s Antiques and Collectables she has acquired over the last 90 years which have to go now she has sold her house and come to live with us in a recently completed Granny Flat. This is a GREAT ANTIQUE VICTORIAN HUGE - 23 INCHES TALL - MADE IN ENGLAND EPBM ( ELECTO PLATED BASE METAL ) SPORTS TROPHY WITH GODDESS ADORNING THE LID & WOODEN PLINTH. This would have cost a lot of money when new. Almost an FA CUP lookalike - my Mother thinks this was a trophy belonging to her grandfather - a pub landlord in the late 19th century and that it probably came from there. I am guessing it is a sports trophy as the figure at the top of the lid is a Greek Goddess who was holding a laurel wreath in the hand but this has broken off and is present tied on with a piece of very old string. There is no inscription unless it has worn off over it\'s 120 years or so. And being so old the plate has worn away in many places or is very tarnished where it still exsists. The bolt holding the Goddess to the lid has broken off and at the moment is simply stuck on with blu-tack. The rim of the trophy has a few slight dents. Apart from all this there is no more damage, but obviously the item will need restoration to bring back it\'s former glory - but what an item you will have if you do restore it. Nice wooden plinth - worth a good few pounds on it\'s own as a display plinth. Height when on the plinth is a massive 23 inches and the total weight including the plinth is almost 3.5 kgs. Don\'t miss this great item. Low start simply to save on fees and .
