...This is an ANTIQUE circa 1939 Art Deco Mills Empress Jukebox...The Empress was only made for a very short time and they are fairly rare...It is a 78 RPM record jukebox and there are spare tubes and a box of thirty 78 records included...This jukebox is being sold as a restorable and essentially complete jukebox...I unplugged the amplifier inside before plugging it in to take pictures of it lit up and the mechanism still chooses the record and plays it as it should, but I did NOT plug in the amp as I have been told by several collectors it was best to not power the amp until someone with knowledge of them looks it over...It was last used regularly about 25 years ago and has had someamateurup keep restoration done to itover the years so it\'s NOT a mint or perfect example, more like a nice base for a restoration or a good looking as is example...It has a crack in the top left corner red plastic (see photo ) that is tight, but visible...The rest of the plastics are good...Some light bulbs are out...It has a small metal strip in the middle of the red plastic number bar above thesector buttons thats looks to be covering a split in that plastic part...The littlewhite shield part next to the coin slot is a remake...Inside is pretty clean and I believe it to be complete...Has originalMills lock and Key for top door...It has a taxdecal from the Corvallis Oregon Bowling Alleycirca 1944-45...I will try to add a video of the mechanism functioning soon...Overall a solid basis for restoration and still looks pretty good as is.
