The History
This piece comes from the Art Deco Era! The Art Deco Era is famous for being the \"Gatsby\" or \"Roaring Twenties\" Era. A lot of gorgeous and timeless designs in jewelry came out of this period.
During the Art Deco Period jewelers often made jewelry upon custom order, this would often take weeks to months to completely craft by hand.
Mabé pearls are cultured blister pearls that form on the pearl oyster\'s shell rather than in its soft tissues. These beautiful pearls are highly desired and feature gorgeous hues!
Akoya Pearls have a stunning luster and beautiful round shape. They are considered elegant and are very sought after. During the Art Deco period, Akoya Pearls were rare, expensive to own, and reserved for the richest of the rich!
Rubies are considered one of the four precious gemstones in the world along with Diamonds, Emeralds, & Sapphires. Rubies have adorned Royal jewelry for years and has been highly prized for their rarity and gorgeous red hues.

Jadeite first reached China in the late 1700’s. Having an extensive tradition within gem-carving, the Chinese were able to truly utilize Jadeite as an important artistic medium. Chinese carvers from the late eighteenth and early nineteenth created masterpieces using jadeite that are still unsurpassed in concept, design, and technical execution.
The Piece
The brooch includes a Mabe pearl centerpiece with sapphire, ruby, diamond and Jade stones throughout! The Mabe pearl is carved into a round shape and features a smoothly polished surface! The pearl features a white color and is placed in the head design of the pin!
On top of the head we have a smaller Akoya Pearl that is placed on top of the gold design helmet of the golfer! The pearl at the top of the helmet measures in at 5.5 mm in diameter.
The Jade in this piece is cabochon cut into an oval shape and placed inside of the middle of the unique gold design! The Jade includes a light green color with white striations that are completely natural! The Jade weighs in at 3.21 Cts.
There are also sapphire stones in the piece that are round cut and feature facets that reflect light off of their surface. The sapphires include a dark blue color and a great clarity. The Sapphires weigh in at .32 cts.
The Ruby stone is round cut and features a smooth polished surface. The Ruby includes a red color with a great clarity. The Ruby weighs in at .17 Cts.
The diamonds in this piece are all round cut and feature facets that reflect light off of their surface. The diamonds are placed in the necklace and at the bottom of the piece!The diamonds weigh in at .12 Cts.
The brooch includes classic Art Deco Era craftsmanship throughout! The design is carved to look like a golfer and includes rope twist design with Sapphires Eyes, a Ruby mouth, a Mabe Pearl head, and an Akoya Pearl at the top of his hat!
The piece also includes round cut diamond set throughoutthe feet and necklace of the design. The diamonds and sapphires are set in platinum which complimentsthe entire piece!
The brooch measures 2.25\" long by 1.25\" wide and is finished off with an enclosed style backing that works perfectly.
