This beautiful pin was made during a period called the Art Nouveau Era! This time was also called \"La Belle Epoque\" in French which translates to \"A Beautiful Time\". This period was in existence from 1890-1914.
This was very true due to the gorgeous designs that came our of this period. The Art Nouveau period was famous for it\'s flowing organic designs, flowing ladies, flowing floral designs, regal designs.
The Diamonds in this piece are beautifully Old Mine cut and show case stunning facets that reflect light beautifully off of their surface. The diamonds weigh in at a total of .17 Cts and are beautifully prong set throughout the stunning Platinum design! The diamonds are very eye clean and let off an incredible sparkle enhanced by the gorgeous Platinum metal.
The Old Mine cut was a cutting technique used in the early Victorian Period to the mid Art Deco Period and is the first cutting techniques known to man! This involved hand cleaving the gem stone or diamond into a round shape with rough facets and a small table. This cut is by far one of the more rare cuts out there due to a lot of these pieces being re cut to the modern round cut over the years.
The Platinum work in this piece would of been beautifully hand carved by an incredibly talented jeweler of the Art Nouveau Era. The design includes beautiful flower, and leaf shapes that are ornately carved out of the high quality Platinum metal! All of the designs featurebeautifullytextured surfaces and other details that give them an absolutely incredible style that resembles theArtNouveau style perfectly.
The pin measures 1.25\" long by 1\" wide and is finished off with a gorgeous catch that works perfectly and includes a safety catch below the pin for added protection.
This gorgeous pin is an incredibly unique piece from the Art Nouveau Era! I have never seen such lovely designs carved out of Platinum with the combination of stunning diamonds! Amazing!

These methods are only accurate 50% of the time, these are cheap, ineffective, and damaging ways to test to gold purity of an item. The XRF requires specialized training in order to correctly read the results. This is a $25,000 piece of equipment and is extremely accurate. Rest assured that what you are receiving is 100% accurate.
