The History
The Piece
This pin includes a beautiful Micro Mosaic scene as its centerpiece! The Mosaic is made using the Pietra Dura inlay technique and uses a number a different colored Onyx stones to create a gorgeous Dove design. The dove is depicted holding a flower with heart shaped leaves mid flight.
The color of the Onyx includes a solid black background, a white Dove & flower, and a Green branch & leaves. The Black background gives this piece an incredible contrast.
The design of this piece includes classic Victorian Era craftsmanship throughout! The design features a thick gold setting that holds the centerpiece in place perfectly. There are also rope twist designs and a smooth polished border that make for a great design.
The pin measures 1.75\" long by 1.25\" wide and is finished with a \"C\" style pin catch that works perfectly.
