Up for sale is a beautiful old full size violin that bears the label \"Dominicus Montagnana Sub Signo Cremonae Venetia 17\" believed to be a mid 19th century German copy. The instrument shows some it\'s true age and carries a stunning look, full tone and quick response. Regarding the condition of the fiddle, below you will find an outline of cracks and repairs that I have detected, though please bear in mind this violin has not recently been to a luthier. The violin comes in a brand new case. Please enjoy the attached video for a brief excerpt of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto played on this very violin is estimated to be approximately 175 years old and several signs of its age and travels are as follows. As can be seen in the photos the scroll has at one point in time been grafted. Additionally there are several old cracks in various places throughout the violin, most of which have been repaired some time ago. There is a repaired crack on the right side of the peg box, a right rib crack that has also been repaired with glue and a patch, and a few small cracks on the bottom portion of top of the instrument, and a repaired crack on the lower portion of the back. The seems appear to be well sealed at this point. None of the listed repairs have been done by myself and the violin sells in the same condition I obtained Length – 36 cm (14 inches)
