Absolutely gorgeous length of antique/vintage French satin jacquard brocade in a most fabulous neo-classic pattern of laurel leaf cartouches of Napoleon bees, lyre & floral roses. Beautiful palette of lovely old deep rose and olive green with a hint of soft yellow/gold when the light hits it.The rose tone is what I would consider a \"wood rose\" hue, a deep rose. Deeper than my photos, about 2 or so shades deeper, hard to capture as it wants to reflect light and appear to be a blushy pink. On my monitor, I think photo #1 & 2 are the closest I could get to the color. This is a weighty satin, exceptional quality from about the 1940\'s time frame. I actually purchased it as silk but I don\'t believe it is fully. May have some silk threads but very possibly be a blend. The thread burn test does show a clean burning thread so not synthetic. Because imitation silk was used frequently during this time, sometimes referred to as silk of satin or mother in laws silk I am not going to call it 100% silk. Though again, of superior quality. Luxurious textile in a very sought after and hard to find Napoleon bee pattern.
A most excellent piece for pillows and period decorative upholstery, window elements, lamp shades, bodices & millinery as well as bags/reticules and boudoir boxes etc..I feel also very nice for a large scale period doll.

*Condition is very nice especially given it\'s age. I imagine used in the past though strong and in very good order to work with. May have a small age speck, simply mentioning in the event my eyes missed anything.
