Up for sale here is a vintage, rare, early, fancy, Art Deco, \"Drum\" style, aqua or light green, crown top, double dot, Pepsi Cola bottle from Suffolk, Virginia. This is a unique and very desirable bottle that was used to compete with the famous \"hobbleskirt\" style Coca-Cola bottles. However, the design was short lived. The bottle is embossed PEPSI : COLA (script) / TRADE MARK REG. in panel on the front waist. Same embossing on back waist except CAP. 6 1/2 FLU. OZS. in place of TRADE MARK REG.. Also embossed PEPSI : COLA BOTTLING CO. around heel area as well as SUFFOLK / VA. on base. Likely dates to the early to mid 1920s. Had several internal cracks, a chip on the heel, a very small lip chip, and also small hit towards mid section. Also scratches and wear. Some haze and staining as this was a dug bottle.
