Arthur Armour World Map Tray Hammered Aluminum

The tray has a wonderful beveled edge. The applied cylinder handles are
striated, as with many of his trays this size.

graduating from Carnegie Tech with a degree in architecture, he worked
in an office for a few years and then at the Wendell August Forge
designing patterns. In l934, he opened his own forge which operated for
48 years, temporarily closing during WWII when our country's need for
aluminum for wartime manufacturing severely diminished the use of
aluminum for other purposes. Upon re-opening the forge after the war, he
began producing gold anodized pieces. Mr. Armour's work is highly
