Introducing Rags the Bunny

I am thrilled to introduce Rags the Bunny. This sweet bunny is 14 inches tall not including his ears. He is made from dense hand dyed mohair in a gold/beige shade with an ivory alpaca ruff and fluffy tail. Rags has offset upstanding ears with leather ear linings which I have hand shaded with earthen shades.

He has black glass eyes enhanced with leather eyelids which I have shaded in warm browns. I have rooted ivory fur around his eyes and muzzle for added detail.

He has jointed arms which I wired for posing , he can stand firmly on his feet which have been carefully designed for balance, he has hand shaded wool felt paw pads in beige . He has a loc-line spine to enable tilting of his head into very sweet poses.

He is a nice weighty bunny and has been stuffed with poly-fibre fill with a bag of steel shot in his tummy for weight and balance.

Like all my designs he is intended as an adult collectors piece and is unsuitable for children.

I established the Three O\'clock Bears in 2002. Since then I have worked very hard to create characterful designs which are full of personality. My bears have over the years found homes all over the world and I take great pride in the attention to detail and the progression of my designs, not just repeating the same design over and over in different fabrics but I strive to make each piece individual with its own unique features.

I have tried over the years to establish my bears in the market as quality designs and take pride that I have won many awards for my efforts, including TOBY awards and Excellence in Bear Artistry Awards.

I feel very lucky that I can pursue this craft as it never fails to engage me every day finding a new technique or idea. Having spent many years in the hairdressing industry I know that the skills I learned have benefited me in the pursuit of perfection in my work now.
