Up for your consideration is a rare true piece of history; WWII ? Vietnam era? authentic leather blood chit. This is a must have for any militaria collector. This amazing find came from a veteran US Navy Pilot estate. He was active during WWII era and possibly Vietnam era. I also have his flight log books up for sale in another listing. Coming back to this fantastic piece of history, there are signs of aging, and the nature of its use has created typical wear on it, but overall it is complete with NO noticeable rips. It measures 9 3/4" x 7 1/2". Pictures say more than 1000 words; therefore I will let you be the judge of this incredible piece of US Navy memorabilia. I have not cleaned it in order not to mess with the awesome vintage appearance it possesses. I will let the buyer decide if he/she wants to clean it.

I am not an expert so I do not clean any jewelry or metals of any kind other than wiping with a dry cloth. I try to describe everything accurately and point out any flaws I see. Please keep in mind that practically all vintage pieces have been loved, used or worn by at least one previous owner. It\'s a rarity to find an item that has absolutely no indication of use.

If you are looking for brand new, unused condition, please do not offer! Almost all of our items come from estate sales. Therefore, we do not typically know the history of the item. Once they are in our possession, they are stored in a smoke free environment, however, we DO NOT know the history of environmental exposures (smoke, pets, dust, etc).

As with any preowned, used, or vintage item, we strongly encourage a professional dry cleaning or thorough cleaning of the item.
