First of all I am selling this clock for a goodfriend of mine, he is a 89 years oldWWII Navy Veteran. He has had this bell clock for many years. The bell clock is a Seth Thomas brand, it winds up, works great, keeps good time and strikes on the hour and on the half hour. The right side windup holeyou turn the key counter clockwise to wind the clock. On the left side windup hole you turn the key clockwise to wind up so it will strike the bell. the key is used to wind up both. very good condition it is right at 10 1/2\" tall and is 7\" wide. I have never see or been around one of these clocks, when it strikes on the hour and half hour it sometimes strikes the bell once sometimes twice and sometimes more. My friend said that the number of strikes ring the belland the number of bellsmeant certain things to the people on the ship. He could not remember exactly what the number of bells meant at the different times that it sounded. To me this clock is a piece of history from World War II, not for sure what ship it was on but my friend believes that it wason a ship.
