This is a magnificent Victorian needlepoint tapestry of a bulldog within a floral wreath. Tiny glass beads make up the dog\'s collar and are worked throughout the wreath. Condition is outstanding for a piece that probably dates from the late 1800s. No missing stitches or beads. Colors are bright and vibrant. The canvas is somewhat fragile with creases and tears (please see pictures) but would not show when this is framed or made into a pillow. Very unusual to find an antique beaded needlepoint in such fine condition.
