BEAUTFUL LARGE c1860 WALKER & HALL ENGLISH SILVER PLATE REPOUSSE SAMOVAR TEA URN
Listed this week is a great Collection of Georgian, Victorian and later Sterling Silver and Silver Plate plus a very large collection of Victorian, French and Austrian Art Glass, Cut Glass including ABP plus a nice selection of Lalique and other stem ware.

Up for sale with is a very beautiful and very large c1860 English Silver Plate Samovar Tea Urn. The Tea Urn is incredibly decorated with Victorian Floral Repousse designs and two large sweeping handles. The Urn also features the original Carved Wood Finial to the lid and insert on the tap. The Urn also features great Cannon Ball feet and the most unusual ball form strainer inside the Urn, unlike any other example I have seen (we tried our best to show it in the photos). The Urn is in good all original condition with some overall Silver loss and the Tap seems to be seized but there are no dents, cracks or repairs. The Urn is very large and impressive measuring 20-1/4 inches tall overall by 11 inches wide across the handles or 10 inches deep across the Tap. The Urn will hold approx20 cups with no leaks and I am sure the Tap can be restored. The Urn would be absolutely magnificent if someone had it replated. The Urn is marked on the bottom for the World famous English Silversmiths Walker & Hall so you know the quality is top notch !
