Absolutely beautiful, 1902–1907 US Army officers visored. This has beautiful bullion on the visor and was worn by an infantry officer of the rank of major, Lieut. Col. or full Col. This Has beautiful shape and is in excellent condition. No significant mothing or damage. Beautiful manufacturers label inside from New York. The sweatband is in great shape. Underneath the visor, the leather has a lovely green shade. Size label is seven.Whoever wore this hat served during the time of Teddy Roosevelt.This was the first hat I ever purchased when I started to collect US headgear. I bought this in 1965 or 1966 at a flea market in Florida for $2.50. I\'m hoping it\'s worth more now.
