This is for a beautiful and unusual antique art deco English sterling silver and 9ct goldcompact from 1938. The silver is decorated all over with a very unusual geometric design and it has two solidgold finger catches at the front. The mirror is on the underside of the lid and the silver carries a full set o English sterling silver hallmarks dating it to Birmingham 1938. The makers initials WN Ltd are for William Neale Ltd and it is in perfect condition with no damage to the silver or the mirror which is clear. Closed it measures58mm (2.25\")square.
