Presented is an EXCEPTIONALY BEAUTIFUL and RAREPAIR of JAPANESE SILVER and MIXED METAL VASES. SIGNEDand madec.1900.

The FIRST vase is SOLID SILVER and beautifully inlaid with a COPPER BACKGROUND (to the main body). There are 4 LARGE SILVER FLYING CRANES, with finely engraved feathering,inlaid with COPPERor GOLD.

The SECOND vase is SIMILAR but with the 4 CRANESFLYING in theOPPOSITE DIRECTIONwith an inlaid GOLD or COPPERSUNSET in the BACKGROUND.

I believe it was the maker\'s intention to create ONE CONTINUOUS SCENE on the body of BOTHvases.

The vases have removable ORIGINAL SOLID SILVER LINERS.

THESE ARE ABEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE PAIR OF MEIJI SILVER MIXED METAL VASES - I HAVE NEVER SEEN A PAIR QUITE LIKE THESE BEFORE. MY CAMERA DOES NOT DO TRUE JUSTICE TO THESE LOVELY VASES!

Each vase measures approx. 18cm tall (over 7 inches) The weight of both vases is approx. 24 troy ounces or 746 Grams (this of course includes all the mixture of metals, not just the sterling weight). Each vase is CLEARLY SIGNED.

Condition is EXCELLENT with GOOD CRISP DETAILING and NO damage, NO repair NO issues. The vases need to be cleaned.
