The dress was originally worn by Mrs. William Roche. The bodice is decorated with a dotted laceBertha style collar that is embroidered with pink flowers. The waist is trimmed with a pink silkbelt. The skirt has a long backsweep. The dress is lined with ivorysilk and a layer of white silk chiffon.The dress has a back hook and eye closure. The stripe silk fabric is in very good condition, but the silklining has overall splitting. There issome minor underarm discoloration, splits in the pink silk belt, light soilingon the back train and a six inch split in the silk chiffon lining at the edgeof the back hemline.
