Here is a very nice, original owner, vintage Benge CG Claude Gordon edition trumpet in excellent condition for its age. This horn was made in Los Angeles and purchased in 1975 with serial number 16010. My father was a trumpet teacher for over 30 years and played this instrument mainly in his teaching studio. It only left the house a few times for performances! There is minor normal wear and tear showing for its age, mainly a few minor dings on the bell and elsewhere. Also, the water key was re-soldered which resulted in some missing silver finish. There are one or two other very small spots where the silver finish is missing, as well as some pitting of the finish along the lead pipe (see photos). A local instrument repair tech looked at this and said that this issue is not unusual for a Benge of this age. He gave this trumpet a clean bill of health based on a quick once-over, but did no servicing, cleaning or repair of the cosmetic issues detailed. I am selling this trumpet as-is, as shown. The valves are pristine. This instrument has a beautiful tone, and is ready for the next owner to make music again!
