Bill Chase\'s Getzen Eterna Doc Severinsen Trumpet & FlugelhornBill Chase\'s very own Getzen Eterna 900s which he used in 1964 up until he switched to the Schilke in 1965. This rare find comes from a storage sale a few years back. The trumpet and flugelhorn serial numbers are a perfect match to the time frame. Serial #SK995 is on the trumpet and K3939 on the Getzen Eterna Flugelhorn. These series of serial numbers fall between 1964-67. It has been stated that during the 50\'s and early 60\'s he used Bach and MartinCommittee horns.You can see that the trumpet has really been put to the test in the short time Bill played it. Included in this sale are various pieces of ephemera. There is a ticket stub to the 1959 Monterey Jazz Festival on Oct. 3rd and 2 unused tickets to the Oct. 4th show, 1959 Indianapolis 500 ticket stub, etc. There is a couple of Stan Kenton Orchestra and Woody Herman Orchestra Itineraries. There is a little black and white passport photo of a young Bill Chase also. The best part of the collection is the auto repair receipt. Apparently his white 1960 Austin Healey 3000 Roadster broke down in Harrisburg PA. The receipt shows he was staying at theGovernor Hotel and it has his signature!Also included are a few postcards from his travels around and two date books from 1961-62.I was never into this type of music but Bill has made a fan out of me, a life taken away far to soon, a true legend in his own time.There is also 5 mouthpieces included and they are described as follows:
