Blacksmith Hardy Anvil Tool 1\" hardy Turning Bending Forge Scrolling Twisting
Price: US $24.95
Up for sale is a Blacksmith Turning Hardy. This hardy tool fits in a 1 inch Hardy hole in a anvil or can be used in a vise.I use one about everyday in the shop.
1 inch gap between the turning forks. A very handy tool.
The total length is 6.5 inches long.
The turning forks are 2.5 inches long and made from 3/4 inch American cold rolled steel (1018 steel).
The turning hardy was hand built/welded in Montana with 7018 welding rod for strength. Each one has two welding passes, 6010 root pass and 7018 filler pass. Not glued gunned, i mean not mig welded either, it is stick welded. Cold Rolled steel by most welding codes and standards, mig welding is not allowed, only stick or tig welding is permitted.
This is not one of those cheap knock offs that can and will break on you. This tool will last you a lifetime.
Beware of the Copy Cats out there, quality is lackinglook at the welds (they may be even Dangerous if one welds would break while working with red HOT STEEL). And for example; cold rolled steel (1018) is not supposed to be mig welded (aka glue gunned) most welding codes that is a big No No. They probably don\'t even know how to use the tool. Also when they say American Steel ask for proof.
Other hardy sizes are available upon request, please message for custom listing/order.
