Out of frustration over the condition of the original (mis-shapen and disintegrating) inking roller on the Blickensderfer, I have decided to make replacement inking rollers so that you can use your Blick for more than just its inherent beauty. Replacement office supply store rubber or neoprene foam rollers don't do a sufficient job on a Blickensderfer, they need to be made from high density wool as original, and wetted with ink during use and as necessary. These are made out of incredibly dense blocking wool, which holds ink very well. I have made these a little exact to size, but you might need to razor a tiny bit of material off to make the fit on your machine perfect. DETAILED INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED. While you are waiting for the roller to arrive, may I suggest obtaining some black stamp pad ink? I have gotten to like using Arbor Products Premium Stamp Pad Refill Ink. The price is right, it is a very good quality ink, and the 2oz bottle will last a long time.

These new rollers work wonderfully, and hold ink very well. You'll be happy to use your Blick again. I never realized I would be making so many of these, but obviously there is still a need in this world.
