Bb/F trombonemade by Boosey & Hawkes, this isa professionallevel model which is known as an \'Imperial\' made prior to the introduction of the Sovereign range. The serial number (643***) datesyear of manufacture to around 1980 and it is an originallow pitch (A440) instrument. Key:Bb withstandard F rotorvalve,Bell:8 inches, Finish: matt silver plate,Bore: medium/large 0.525\", small shank mouthpiece receiver.In my opinion this instrument is in good playing andaverage cosmetic condition. The silver plating is mainly intact. There are numerous dings/knock markson the bell flare where it looks like a mouthpiece was loose in the case but the rest of the instrument is quitetidy. Thereare no large dents ordamage to affect the playability.The slide and trigger are moving reasonably well but would benefit from further cleaning and use, the inner stockings of the slide do not have any wear and the tuning slides are free. Comes complete witha later Besson plastichard case which isin very good conditionwith workinghandles/catches.
