For your all-year-long Hallowe\'en loving pleasure, we are proud to present alovely lady Jack o\' Lantern that was made in Germany in the 1920s. Thischarming and GHOULish gal is in VERY FINE, ALL-ORIGINAL condition!We will be listing three German Jack o\' Lanterns in three different sizes. Thisis Jezebel, and she is what we consider to be a small to medium-sized example,measuring 4 ½” tall (6” to the top of her wire bale handle) x 4 ¼” deep x 5”wide. Please see her big sister, Jacinda, being offered in another one of ourlistings. Jezebel was made from light composition wash over formed-and-stapled heavy cardboard.She was hand-painted in outstanding Hallowe\'en colors of medium oldbrownish-orange and she, like her big sister, has red lips! She retains her original paper insert, creating her charming and endearingexpression. The paper insert is in colors of creamy beige, old red, royal blueand black. Notice that Jezebel was given a few green highlights to herstriations, simulating those of a real pumpkin. This completely original and authentic example retains her original cardboard baseand her original tin candle holder. Jezebel also retains her original wire balehandle. She is unquestionably of German manufacture and we believe we see avery light Germany mark on her base. This sweetheart is a survivor! She was allowed to light up her family home onat least one All Hallows\' Eves, since she does have a small bit of wax to herinterior bottom and a tiny candle remains along with its wick in the tincandleholder. Ziz absolutely loves to see this, and she finds it so fascinatingthat revelers actually lit a piece like this one that is made of paper withreal wax candles! GASP! For her debut, we used battery-operated candles to give this olddecoration her eerie glow. Jezebel’s exact condition is as follows: her paint is in superb condition. Shedoes have a bit of soiling from the many All Hallows\' Eves she has seen. Herpaper insert is in excellent condition but it is missing on small bottomcorner which has created a small gap between the insert and the corner of hermouth. As mentioned earlier, there is a little bit of wax inside, and a waxstain to the exterior of the cardboard base. Jezebel’s colors are warm and rich and she has an expression that we justadore! She is a FRIGHTfully fabulous piece of Hallowe\'en history and she wouldbe an outstanding addition to any collection of Hallowe\'en memorabilia.
