Upfor sale is a Victorian tea pot or coffee pot by Meriden Silver Plate Company, founded by Charles Casper in c1869 to manufacture silver plate hollowware. The company became one of the first companies to join IS in 1898 and carried the IS makers mark at that time. The tea pot has the original Meriden Silver Plate Co. Makers mark. The pot is lovely standing 7.75 inches tall and 9.5 inches wide at the widest point. The exterior features an Aesthetic floral motif of Chrysanthemums or other similar floral in both raised and chased design while the handle and spot follow through with the same design. The patina and design are excellent. There are no monograms or dents and the silver plate is lovely as shown in the pictures. Inside is clean and usable.
