• An antique c1880 late Victorian period silver plate lidded spirit cauldron and stand in the Aesthetic style in a design attributed to Christopher Dresser (1833-1904) . The stand with a maximum height of approximately 15.25 in (390 mm) has a naturalistic design in the form of three branches joined together by a coiled rope at the top, part of which forms a hook for the chain. The lidded cauldron with swing handle,tripod feet and wooden finial has an outside diameter of 4.25 in (108 mm) with a maximum capacity of 350 ml. The integral circular support or holder for the spirit burner is formed from three branches coming from the base of each of the three legs of the stand. It has an inside diameter of 2.9 in (73 mm). The chain with loop and clip are not original. Overall, it is in very good condition with no damage and with all the plate in good order.
