Offered for sale is thisVictorian pattern glasspickle castor. It was made by Harry Northwood at the end of the 19th century in the \"Chrysanthemum Swirl\" pattern. The glass isruby opalescent swirl. The jar measures 4\" high, 3\" across at the top and about 3 1/4\" at the base.It fits in a very nice quadruple silver plated frame made by James W. Tufts. I don\'t know if the lid is original but it fits nicely and afancy set of tongs is included. Theframe is10 1/4\" high.Thispickle castoris in verygood estate condition with no damage, wearor restoration found.There is very minor expected roughness on the inner rim of the insert--not at all an issue but mentioned for accuracy.A very special example for any collection and offered without reserve.The cost of U.S. insured shipping and proper packingvaries with your postal zone.
