ca. 1495: A Miniature book Incunable printed in German! 83 wonderful woodcuts!!!
Start price $0.99! !This is a prayer book printed in the style of a Brevarium. It contains a calendar, description of different apostles and Evangelists, further
we have stories about Virgin and Martyr, and plenty of interesting prayers! The good thing is, this prayerbook printed in German!
Only 10% of Incunabulum are printed in German. This one here is very special! It is a Miniature book (after German classifications-see Wikipedia smaller than 10x10 cm)!I suppose it it is a unique book, because I was unable to find the book in any library worldwide. The rubricated Initials printed first separately (a typical sign for printing in the 1490\'s),
the type and style of printing indicates clearly the 1490\'s as the years of printing. The book remembers in relation of the context to e.g.:Jacobus de Voragine: Legenda aurea, Nürnberg, 1482and also toDie heiligen teutschen ewangeli vnd epistel, Augsburg, 1490The type of printing looks quite similar to some edition printed in Nuremberg about 1493 and 1494.If you look to the book \"Der psallter der seligen iunckfrawen marie\", Nürnberg, Anno 1500,
youll probably agree with me that the place of printing is indeed Nürnberg (Nuremberg). The \"Ochsenkopf\" as watermark was often used in Nuremberg in the 1480\'s and 1490\'s. If this book evidently printed later than 1501, I will refund you completely with all shipping costs!
Printings after 1501 looking completely different!
There is no doubt for me that is has been printed in the 1490\'S!Here now the details:Title: Prayerbook printed in German (probably unique)
No place and date but probably Nuremberg ca. 1495Condition: As seen in the pictures, here and there a bit stained or browned, , lacks spine.
