WELLER POTTERY
CLAYWOOD or BURNTWOOD VASEAs pictured, 9\" Weller Pottery vase, likely Claywood line with Arts & Crafts, stylized floral motif of possibly morning glories, and stippled background. Chocolate and deep cream colors; burnt umber interior; deep, sharp mold definition. The vase is in good condition. I will point out, as pictured, a flaw on the base near the very bottom that one can\'t really see when the vase is upright. I don\'t think that it\'s damage & loss, the tiny pieces glued back in. There\'s no evidence of adhesive, which would surely show on the matte chocolate glaze. In any case, I can\'t be certain if this is factory original or a later issue. The two, small pieces are still connected to the vase, just raised a bit, so it could have been in firing. Anyway, there it is. I don\'t want to nitpick it to death, but be honest.It\'s a very handsome piece of Claywood! Not an easy one to find either. The bottom does have the \"WELLER\" die-impressed mark, and then, in pencil, \"1.25\" small and crossed out, likely original price, then bigger & also in pencil, what looks like either 79 or 19c (cents). Not sure which. These can be removed, of course.$49.99 START & .
