THIS CAME OUT OF A COLLECTION OF OLD LICENSE PLATES, AND I BELIEVE WAS ISSUED IN THE WWI ERA, ATTEMPTING TO SAVE METALS FOR THE \"WAR EFFORT\"

NOT AN EXPERT, BUT BELIEVE THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN APPLIED (MAYBE TO A 1916-1917 ERA) LICENSE PLATE, TO EXTEND ITS LIFE, AND SAVE METALS FOR WORLD WAR 1.

This seems in great shape, green enamel over tin, measures 55mm x 45mm.
