Very rare and very beautiful, original ca1910 Bartholomay Brewing Co. of Rochester, New York, Pre-Prohibition, Tin Lithographed Advertising Tip Tray featuring an image of a beautiful, young Female Allegorical Figure seated atop a winged wheel which rests on a cloud in the sky. This Tray is known to collectors as the \"Bartholomay Woman on a Wheel\" Tray.

This wonderful and highly sought after, Tin Litho Beer Tray measures 4 1/2\" in diameter and features a fantastic image of a beautiful young woman wearing a gauzy, almost see through white gown and a wreath of hops in her hair. In her right arm she cradles a sheath of barley and with her left hand she raises a bundle of hops branches. She is seated on what appears to be a stone wheel with large, feathered wings extending from its center. It should be noted that the winged-wheel is reminiscent of the Trade Mark Symbol of the National Bicyclists Organization known as the \"League of American Wheelmen\". The background is a sky filled with light and fluffy clouds. Text above and below the image reads \"Beers, Ales & Porter / In Kegs & Bottles\" and text on the raised rim at the top and bottom reads \"Bartholomay / Rochester, N.Y.\".

The chromolithography on this outstanding, Pre-Prohibition Advertising Beer Tray is of the VERY highest quality and it does not carry a manufacturer\'s mark. We do believe, however that it was manufactured by Charles H. Shonk of Chicago as Shonk made a slightly later version of this Tray with the identical imagery but with a different color scheme.

This very beautiful, ca1910 Bartholomay Brewing Company Advertising Tip Tray is not a reproduction, reissue or restrike but is an original ca1910 Tip Tray manufactured and distributed for the Brewery to advertise their Beer.

This beautiful and rare, Pre-Prohibition Tin Lithograph Rochester Brewery Advertising Beer Tray is in excellent condition and displays beautifully. The Chromolithography is bright and bold - rich and warm and very attractive. The image area is exceptionally well preserved with no scratches, scuffs, surface loss or damage of any kind. There are some small minor rubs to the raised rim as can be seen in the scans below but overall the Tray is exceptionally well preserved and displays beautifully.
