Canon Model 7. Serial number 923202. C:1961. Focal Plane shutter 35 mm Rangefinder film camera. Hard to find in this sort of condition but please note the flash unit connector is missing. This is a replaceable part that screws into place, the recess for this part is pristine as may be observed from image 5. The light meter is serviceable and reacts to degrees of light as designed but has not been calibrated or checked for accuracy.
The camera body has not been serviced recently but has had a replacement door hinge light seal. The shutter speeds sound timely but have not been checked for absolute accuracy. Film advance and rewind is smooth. Focal plane curtain is excellent in all respects. The viewfinder is clear and the inside of the film load area looks to be in good order.
This Canon 7 camera has excellent covers and the black enamel finish is also excellent. There are no dents or scratches on the casings or wear to the anodised silver finish either. The whole camera is virtually pristine including the base. It is in incredible condition not least as it is over 50 years old.
