VINTAGE CANON 7S 35MM RANGEFINDER CAMERA

Up for sale is the highly sought-after Canon 7S 35mm rangefinder camera with a 50mm f/1.2 lens. The 7S was made in Japan from 1965 to 1967 and was the last luxury-class rangefinder camera made by Canon. This particular camera is the earlier variation of the 7S with the small rewind knob and a square meter display that is flush with the body. It has a serial number of 111486 and was one of only 16,000 early version 7S cameras manufactured. It comes with its original 50mm f/1.2 Canon lens and has a 39mm screw mount for interchangeable lenses. The shutter has speeds from 1s to 1/1000s and a rugged stainless steel curtain. The camera has a built-in CDS meter with high/low ranges (the only production interchangeable lens professional rangefinder with a CDS meter besides the Leicas).This Canon 7S camera comes with its original manual, leather camera case, Accura Bouncemaster flash, Popular 18M flash, and a hard carrying case. The shutter works properly and the rangefinder appeared to be operational when I inserted a battery. I haven\'t taken any photos with it, so the camera has not been completely tested. Cosmetically, the camera is very clean and was obviously well cared for. The inside of the film and battery compartments is also very clean. The original Canon f/1.2 lens looks great with no scratches or fungus issues. The leather camera case shows some wear but is intact. The instruction manual shows quite a bit of wear. Overall, this highly sought-after camera looks fantastic and should service you well. Please take a close look at the many photos I\'ve provided and judge condition for yourself.
