This caroffere miner\'s lamp is very unusual. Made by Metalcraft, W.V. (stamped on the water fill cap), it resembles the James Taylor patent July 4, 1911. Otherwise I haven\'t found this in any literature. 3 1/2 inches high, 1 1/2 inch diameter base, and 2 1/2 inch diameter top, stamped PAT.APPLIED FOR. Odd design of the conical water can. Respectable reserve.

folks are really great. I\'ve just learned that this could be WV&B Metalcraft. This means that it was made in New York by William Vogel & Brothers who made the early Baldwin lamps. With a little careful rubbing and a large magnifier, I varified the WV&B on the water cap. I\'ve had this lamp for almost 40 years and didn\'t know this. It may be rarer than I thought.
