Up for sale is an authentic and \"very scarce---hard to find\", three star Cast Iron Toy gun, made in 1892 by the Stevens Toy Company of Cromwell, Connecticut. 3 out of 5 stars for rarity according to my research. It is 7 inches long and 3.5 inches from top to bottom of handle. Weighs 12.7 ounces. 

This is a pea shooter and I found two peas, obviously more than 100 years old, stuck in bottom barrel. A sharp needle also came out as if a kid was using it to get the peas out. Also a wooden dowel came out which I am including as I do not know if it is part of the toy gun. Spring is in working order when trigger is pulled. Such a rare beauty with no cracks or breaks. 

Patent date is on handle1892. Three stars for rarity in Logan and Best. 7 inches in length. Peas go in the top tube, you pull the ring trigger forward to gravity load, and \"pow!\" through the bottom barrel. 

Seems to work and spring is tight when trigger is pulled. Has a patina I left for buyer to clean if they wish. I would not call this rust as the pitting is so minuscule and photos do not match actual color which is much nicer in person.
