Very clean rare double boiler insert, made for use inside the Chambers/Wear-ever Thermowell full size kettle.Wear-ever made this lne of aluminum cookware for use in the \"Thermowell\" of the famous Chambers range of the 1940s and 1950s.. The full set of cookware included a 7 quart full kettle, double and triple side dish kettles, all with clamp-down lids; this double boiler insert; and a few other accessories.This sale is for the double boiler insert, which clamps to the underside of the lid to the full size kettle. The piece is 5 inches in diameter and 5.5 inches tall. Apparently very little used. Like all Thermowell cookware, it includes a bracket on the side for use with a special handle (not included).
